Classic in looks but contemporary in performance, the BAR MK 3 is built upon previous iterations of the original civilian BAR (“Browning® Automatic Rifle”), which set the standard for autoloading hunting rifles. With its accuracy and performance, it will make autoloading enthusiasts out of the most skeptical riflemen.
Mark 3 features include: aircraft-grade aluminum alloy receiver with satin nickel finish, and enhanced, high-relief engraving, drilled and tapped for scope mounts, strong multi-lug rotary bolt, composite trigger guard and floorplate, crossbolt safety, alloy receiver with matte nickel finish, chrome-plated chamber. Barrels with sporter contour are individually machined from hammer-forged, heat-treated steel, then polished. The detachable box magazine has a unique hinged floorplate.
Renowned for a long-standing tradition for achieving bolt-action -like accuracy thanks to high levels of precision and careful craftsmanship, the design is what really sets it apart: the BAR is a gas-operated autoloader centrefire rifle with an extra-strong, multiple-lug rotating bolt, which locks directly into the barrel.
